Great find! And it's not in too bad in shape for a 1841 coin! Pre-Civil War era as well!

I think its all too easy when sitting with my coins to not appreciate the history in my hands. I wish this cent could tell stories you could share with us. Whose pocket was it in when news of the war was first heard?

I have some glass insulators that i wish could talk. A couple of them were in use at this time and almost assuredly had the news of Lincoln;s assassination pas through the wires they were holding. Fun to think about.
