Double or Triplo Die?

#1 Unread post by Gustavo D »

Hi guys!
Sorry my english, i'm brazilian and i'm using google translator.
I received from my father an inheritance of a collection of coins and among them you had a 1 cent dollar coin, I decided to go deeper into the history of the American coins and discovered the effect of the double die, analyzing the coins that I have here I discovered the one that seems to me be a triple die! Will this type of variant be possible

The images go out of focus when zooming in to see the details. But I think I can see what is called by a couple of different names including "push doubling" or "machine doubling" or MD on your coin. Here are some graphics to help you understand this. MD is common and adds no value.
