1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.
2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.
3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. PM’s are for issues, technical and personal, but not for coin questions (refer to number 5 on this list). Hello Ray,
I just joined yesterday. I agree with you. This hobby/business is facing a few challenges. For now I am trying to follow the practical advice being given for me at least and looking at having a few coins graded. This hobby, of which I have returned since being much younger, is a challenge. By that I mean I want to go fast, but I should slow down on my learning. I’m a bit OCD with numismatics. Lol
Welcome.
From Robert

Hi Robet
Do your homework make sure they are worth grading. Danial I see has a lot of YouTube help that’s why I joined. I am a seasoned collector who made mistakes on the way. Don’t go fast enjoy it and read the book or know you can get a lot of info on the website.I started when you had to learn to grade and dealers would steer you away from morgan dollars now look at them. I remember a good coin dealer in the 60s told me it may take 5-7 years to get your investment back. Ray

Howdy, I own a Motorcycle and I bought a Repair Manual. Books are essential no matter what your into doing + a good one of these helps tremendously with coins.

Re: New member
Hey new dudes welcome. Information on coins, specific errors, types, etc. has never been easier and cheaper to find than today. There is a TON of info on how to coin hunt here on this site, and at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIYtW3byS0u7rBmXg71pXQ.
Also you have Paul from CONECA, which is an asset, and a host of other denizens who have good information, but questionable sanity.
