I prefer the Vanquish 540 at about $279 and the 540 pro pack at $399 . Anyone else have any Detector...

Re: New Member - 1909-S Indian Head Cent Question
A mix of $5, $10 & $20 gold coins were carefully stored in a paper clip box. Congratulations on these! If only all of our fathers had done this! My one grandfather did. But the box he put them in never showed up. He had no idea what happened to them. And if only I had had the smarts as a kid to...

Re: 1922-D Lincoln, Weak Reverse Die Set 3?
Die Pair #2 with strong reverse is the true No D. Your coin should be weak D but not as desirable in this condition.

Re: Cardboard Flips - Staple Damage: Lost Cause?
It can be removed with MS70 but I would talk with someone who uses a coin dip. Acetone can as well, but again, you need to speak with someone in person.

Re: Cull Barber Quarters?
Hey Jeff . I wish I had an answer but it's your choice if you want to melt or possibly look for Key errors . Most of those coins are toast . It depends how sentimental the coins are to you I guess.
Good Luck, keep posting and happy collecting .

Re: Cull Barber Quarters?
I personally hate to see any dated coin this old melted. They just represent too much history. There are plenty of newbie collectors (and maybe others) who don't have any examples of Barbers. Instead of melt, maybe out them on eBay. I am told eBay selling prices for silver go for more than melt anyw...

Re: 1877 indian head... ¿fake or not?
Obvious and terrible fake. Find a picture of a PCGS, NGC, or ANACS slabbed one online and look at them side by side.

Looks like someone was using it to keep from scratching their wife's kitchen table while they were cutting something with a hack saw. But I'm not a coin expert, I'm on here searching for answers like everyone else .

Might be struck through but very little interest in stuff like this. Can't really tell what it is. But most of all, patience is very important here. Many of us help here in our spare time.

I found a '72 DDO (the good one) in the early 70s. I put it on my dresser in a prominent place so I would remember o take it with me to show my grandfather. When I went to retrieve it, it was gone. My brother had taken it as well as any other change he could find in my room to spend on his trip to t...
