I was a subscriber of the coinhelpu YouTube channel, though that, I found this website. I found this website a great place for some nu...

Re: Strange 5 dollar bill

It’s most likely to be a bank stamp, they stamp each strap of bills before they send them back to the main vault.

Got pretty lucky today

So today I was at my LCS just looking around, and they happens to have a little bin of buffalo nickels for 65 cents a piece. They said it’s okay for me to cherrypick so that’s exactly what I did. And out popping a 1913 s type two in what I say is in F-12 condition. I immediately informed the coin sh...

Re: 1936 Buffalo Nickel - is this a mint error or variety?

you see how part of the design on the head of the Indian on the obverse has been crushed? this meant brute force was applied on the reverse of the coin. which matches perfectly with the "ribs" you see on the buffalo. so PMD, but still a cool piece!

Re: Coin Washing

Remember "shiny" is NOT what makes a coin "valuable" to a collector. Collectors are looking for coins that have no wear on the design. Of the coin still has original luster, then this is a plus for sure. But a worn coin that has been shined is a sure sign of cleaning and greatly...

Re: Got pretty lucky today

Update: one day, after this incident, I gone to this shop again. I asked for an specific item, which to my surprise, the answer is similar to this “ so yeah, we know we had the item in shop, but we actually don’t know where they are “ ( points to the giant heap of goodies/mess which literally filled...

Found my first!

Evening, community. I was able to successfully obtain $20 (not a full box because bank limit of only $20 in any transaction without account, talk about kid disadvantages!) in cents from my local Wells Fargo bank. Like any other CRH’ers out there, couldn’t resist the urge not hunting them, so I start...

It’s not rare, worth 2.7 cents because of copper content.
