Re: 1995 Penny DDO

Sameth, have you yet matched up the pictures of the ones on coppercoins.com or varietyvista.com with yours? It is an obvious answer if you do. We are here to help people LEARN. You have been informed many times by us where to find the obvious errors for yourself, but you keep just wanting us to do t...

Re: 1912-D 1C Lincoln Cent (Wheat Reverse)

A 1912 D is a nice find. Now for the sorta bad news. The 1912 D is not a key date to my knowledge, the 1912 S is a semi-key date. If you go to Lincoln cent resource. You find a lot of information about cents on that page.

Re: 1977-D 50C Kennedy Half Dollar

NOW I think I understand what you are looking at: 1977D_depressed_Area.jpg This is not a form of doubling (please see error-ref.com and search for doubled die) which, I hope, makes it clearer why I was not able to see what you called "obvious doubling" before. Typically a mark like this is...

Re: 1977-D 50C Kennedy Half Dollar

I stand by everything I said, maybe the substance was already removed and this is the outline stain. Either way, the coin had something on it. And until you have someone other than a dealers opinion than that is all you have. I am sorry but I am afraid you're heading for a disappointment, but you wa...

Re: 1935 1C WDDO-001 “ Best of variety????

Now that you pointed all these markers, where do you see the Doubling? With the photos you posted, I can not see any doubling. Just so you understand something, Yes you can find all the markers, but unless you see the doubling it means nothing. First you need to identify doubling, then you can look...

Re: 1935 1C WDDO-001 “ Best of variety????

It must be a doubled die before you look for die markers. Die markers don't mean a coin is a doubled die.

👀 IMMEDIATE ANSWERS: Step by step find your Doubled Die or RPM online! 👀

You should use this method for every coin you find that you think is a doubled die or an RPM. If you do not find yours there, then your coin is not the error you are asking about. It is likely damage or some form of non-collectable doubling such as machine doubling. In the following example, we are ...

Re: 1996 wide am

I agree with all of the above. If a person answering is not 100% certain, then please don't post. Better to err on the side of caution when trying to teach people about coins. If a person is guessing (and that should be educated guesses from personal knowledge/experience - not just posting for the e...

Re: 1996 wide am

Please do you homework on the grading companies before thinking a membership to one of them is an essential part of the hobby. Their reputations are hyped by the market and the slabbing concept is a sideline to the coin hobby that was made to profit from collectors. I am NOT saying if a person likes...

Re: 1966 25C DDR-001,1-R-I-CCW

When you have legit doubled die matching a known one, all of the details of the doubling will be exactly the same (if not damaged by a hit etc.) since the coins would have been struck from the same die. Let's examine some of your pics vs. the known ones. Look at the last picture set of the QU. On th...

Re: 1776-1976 50C Pr Silver is this machine doubling or a DDO?

You are looking at your coins on way too much magnification and you are trying way to hard. You need to A) back off the magnification by a heck of a lot. As close to 10X as possible. B) Start using a 5X, 10X, or 15X loop, until you know what you are searching for and what it actually looks like. Ke...

Re: 1776-1976 50C Pr Silver is this machine doubling or a DDO?

When using a microscope you're looking at the smallest of things, to gain a perspective, place your finger under the microscope and you will see things you can't see with the naked eye. And so is the same with coins.

Here is a way to find immediate answers when finding something you suspect is a doubled die or RPM: Immediate answer...
