I bought the 2-quarter section of a 2021 silver proof set. I broke them out and put them in my storage case next to the 2020 ATB quarters. I saw that the reeded edge is noticeably wider on the 2021 quarters. It looks like to me that the obverse has a deeper impression and the reverse is unchanged. I don't have time to take comparable pics of the obverse before confirming what I have is "normal". It's likely the same for clad proofs. Check out the pictures and give me your thoughts.

Re: 2021 Proof (Silver) Quarters - Edge Width
My guess from what I see in the picture could be a thick rolled planchet/metal. What are the weights of the thicker looking ones? Also we ask for front and back pics as well when someone makes a post.

I understand what you are saying, but these are from two different coin designs, Wash. Crossing the Delaware and Tuskegee Airmen. I just need one person to confirm theirs is the same which I suspect. My initial post wasn't that clear. I'm not claiming this is an error. It just seems to me this is the mint's new way.
With much respect, the pictures of the front/back look the same (the ATB one of course). Here is a nice photo I found:

Hello , Did you weigh them up to compare them ? They should be within tolerance .Here's a handy dandy chart for Most U.S coins .

Re: 2021 Proof (Silver) Quarters - Edge Width
Thanks and sorry I was not more clear. We ask people to post the OBV and REV images of their own coins so we can make sure everything is being taken into account for their specific coin when we try to formulate a good answer. With much respect, the pictures of the front/back look the same (the ATB one of course).
When you mentioned:
I thought it might be good to se if this also shows up in the pictures. It looks like to me that the obverse has a deeper impression and the reverse is unchanged.

Re: 2021 Proof (Silver) Quarters - Edge Width
I discovered the difference. The reeds on the 2021 proofs are not tapered like they are in previous years. So it gives the illusion that the edge is wider. You can see it in post #3. You can observe it by comparing a 2021 and 2020, with the coin tilted and using magnification. I realized the difference when looking at an angle right above the AM in America and comparing 2021 vs 2020.
There could be transition varieties with 2021 using a 2020 collar. Just speculation. I assume this is for silver and non silver. It could even sneak into clad/unk 2021 using a proof 2021 collar.
