This was a coin put through a penny pressing machine like is common to find at amusement parks. Look up "elongated cent"

Earl is 100% correct on this. I worked at an amusement Park as a kid (16-18 not going to say how many years ago), and they had two or three of them. You had to put two pennies into it. one was for the cost of using it and the second was the coin it would elongate.

Just a penny for using it? it’s two quarters now.

One of the first things I did😊

When my kids were small we had fun in Disney World going to all the machines and having them press the pennies. Of course Disney World sells a booklet for you to carry around to put your collection in as you go throughout the park.

BTW - always use older copper cents, the zinc ones have their core show through.

Daniel needs to have one of these machines made for his coin shop!

Hi Paul, I was looking at it and I think I found a twisted, crazy lipped, scar faced, O/S micro vam.
But maybe it is just a CONECA rolled cent. 😜
