Mint bags of LMC 74D, 79D and 76D keep or sell?

#1 Unread post by COINADICT »

Hi Coin Help! My name is Bill and this is my first post. I have (3) bags ($50 face each) of Lincoln Memorial cents that I have been hanging on to for a while. The prices seem like they are going up fast.... Should I hang on to these or should I get my profit now. These dates don't seem to have a ton of errors and varieties "on paper", but the bags are unopened. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Bill...Welcome.

I recommend you first do your research on what people are currently paying for similar items.

I frankly don't seeing them a buyer's item over say $50 of more rarer coin . Then it would be over $50 then wouldn't it .

Sorry but can't tell you to search or not search, that is a personal decision.

Thanks all! I have done some research on errors and varieties. I reviewed coppercoins, wexler and variety vista. There are not a ton of errors and varieties. I have also looked on Ebay for what is selling. It looks like I could squeeze at least $175-200 out of each bag... 120% profit. I think I am going to hang on to them and see if the secondary market rises over the next 6 months. Thank you again for the welcome wishes and the feedback!!!!! One love!

You have 3 bags. If it were me I’d sell one now to take advantage of the hot market at the moment and take your profit.
If time goes on and it goes up more sell another.
The flip side is if market cools, you miss out on the high profits in the market now. Always a gamble.
Me I’d take the sure bet on one bag now and go from there.
Just my opinion.
