4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. Isabella Quarter! Arrived whizzed! Value?
I was ecstatic to see an elusive Isabella Quarter in what appeared to be AU/UNC condition offered by an antiques dealer on eBay. My experience has been that some of the best deals come from members who are not primarily focused on coins.
This one is whizzed. Obviously. Polished to mirror-like quality.
Here is the price chart from HA
Suppose I paid $235.00 and would consider keeping it. How much of a reduction in value is in order here? 50%? more? Should I have it slabbed anyway with a details grade? With which service?
Might very well come back UNC?
If you care to indulge the question. What would you SELL this for in your shop?

The coin is cleaned but it has PVC residue on it, if that green isn't from the lighting.

Unsure of the PVC, I had initiated a return request. Seller doesn't accept returns. (Of COURSE!)

... just can't monkey around with it until dispute it resolved. It also might be some sort of jeweler's goo, or egg yolk to make it look like it's starting to "come back".
If all else fails acetone and pocket change for a good long time.

1. Dipping it in PURE acetone (read the label) and letting it sit a few seconds would get rid of the PVC residue. The acetone does not have the chemical ability to alter or disturb the metal in any way so all you would be doing is conserving the coin.
2. You said:
If wanting to sell for profit, then slabbed coins will sometimes bring higher profits in markets where there are a lot of people who only care what the label says without worrying about the coin itself (buy the coin...not the slab!)
Also you must make sure if you do want it slabbed that the price for doing so is going to leave you with profit after you sell. Some places you have to join to use - that's all part of the price to have slabbed. Then there are things such as eBay and Paypal fees that eat into profits. Its a math game.

I am not sure what you are asking b/c there is no rule that any coin ever "SHOULD" be slabbed.Should I have it slabbed anyway with a details grade?
