PURCHASING COINS.

#1 Unread post by ace1153 »

HI everyone, i hope all of you are great. I just have a question that might seem easy for some people but sometimes I don't understand. There is a collection of morgan and peace silver dollars. The add says it is a complete collection. It can be purchased for under 150$. I don't know being new to the collection world but this seems pretty cheap and i don't know why. what should i be looking for? I know im not seeing something. Any help would be appreciated. God knows i need as much help as i can get. Thankyou.

It sounds like a scam...A complete collection of real Morgans or Peace dollars would cost way more in the silver value alone. IMO, you should avoid it.

Most likely, if the seller would actually send you anything, it would be a collection of Chinese fakes. And those fakes generally are not easy to turn around and sell b/c experienced dealers/collectors/buyers, if they don;t recognize them right away, have tests they can apply.

Ace,
I'm sure your like the rest of us, you don't have a tree that grows money. With that said, take time and invest researching a good dealer or hopefully you have a reputable Local Coin Shop (LCS). I don't have a good dealer so Im kinda forced to buy online or plain old talking to folks about coins they might have.

Another option is guys like Daniel. Honest and not out to gouge you; he'll tell you how it is and I like that. Plus he seems to like Morgan's like me.

I agree. Very hard to find dealers like Daniel.

And if you buy slabbed coins online, make sure you can get a good picture of the coin and analyze it - buy the coin, not the slab.
Don't make the common mistake of blind trust in grading companies. It has cost people thousand$ of dollar$. Read/download the pdf in my link for proof.

It's a scam, I've done multiple videos warning people against these.

Deleted. Responded to a post that should be a new thread (different poster, different topic than OP).
