Clear the area of sharp things, knives, etc. Flip the breaker switch on the garbage disposal.
Mr. Weasel, you'd better wanna sit down:
One of ten in a lot won for $53.10... (Mostly VG to F)
Basically, I bought this for $5.31 cents - or $53.31, and got 9 free! Either way works for me. Don't get all excited; you've seen the dogs I've picked up along the way too! The patience required to survive eBay with your sanity intact is indescribable!
Mr. Daniel: When can I start? Is Portsmouth expensive?

Re: 1920 Slaquer
... Then goes and buys a nice new old stock Whitman folder for $9.00 and spills acetone all over it! My genius is very sporadic! (Don't try to clean paper with acetone, by the way. Had to buy another one.)

Re: 1920 Slaquer
Thanks, Whitman! My OCD is doing back flips just about now. Did you need 37 slots? Four in the first row - only, to taunt me and remind me that I'm never going to be filthy rich enough to stick a 1916 SLQ in a cardboard folder. Because... I can.
Plus, the folder I ruined was P, D, S. The replacement is P, S, D. Who does that?! It's like when foreigners say "pepper and salt"! (Which is correct in German.)

Re: 1920 Slaquer
Lest we forget, I actually handled (and sold) this little "blast-white" gem at one time in the not-too-distant past. There is a part of my collection that only comes out on Halloween!Matthudson wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 3:21 am Don't get all excited; you've seen the dogs I've picked up along the way too!

Re: 1920 Slaquer
Whitman and I have had our disagreement and gone separate ways long ago. For my SLQs I went to a coin show and bought a used Dansco for 5.00. Now one of these days I MIGHT get around to try filling it!
You will know where that rule comes from.

Re: 1920 Slaquer
"Savvy", please! And if only every transaction held such pleasant surprises!"
And it's like an exquisite salmon pâté; everyone raves about it; but no one will date bite into it. She's been snubbed a few times now at auction and shows.
Maybe if I spray it with Windex and bake it in the oven for a while. Those seem to sell quite well online! KIDDING!!!! Don't anyone reading this DARE!!!
