Circulation Damage, it's a good thing that you found a 2020 W quarter in Circulation though!

You're not going to find feeder finger damage down inside the recess of a device on a die

This is post mint surface damage

Please research "Feeder Finger Damage"

Can anyone provide information about the West Point circulation quarters? I don't see them even listed in the Red Book. Are these special issues that you purchased from the Mint? Any information appreciated!

Why were these West Point quarters even issued? Was it a special occasion of some sort?

Special, yes. I think since 2019 series there has been a very low mintage of W's, and just this year they all should have that V75 next to George's Visage to celebrate the 75th anniversary of victory in WW-2. I have been checking every quarter 🤞🏼 hoping for one like this! Shame it has been damaged! Still cool though!
Keep on collecting...
Cheers!

There were 5 series of coins minted (for circulation only. You could not purchase them from the mint) for each year 2019 & 2020. Only 2mil of each coin, a total of 10 coins and a grand total of only 20 million coins. I would think these W quarters would have become instant key dates. Just my opinion.

In the future, please research your terminology at error-ref.com before posting your coin.
