1871 50c Canadian; rim damage

This is my Uncle's coin and he is not removing it from album to be viewed. The question is do you think the reverse upper rim damage will keep it from grading by 3rd party?

The coin has been cleaned so doesn't matter if it's touched or removed. We can only give appropriate help when a coin is NOT behind plastic.

Hard to tell behind the plastic. My thoughts are also that its been cleaned. Color looks cleaned and it looks like there are marks from being wiped/brushed (possible marks are on the plastic).
