Hello! I'm Brett. I'm new here but have been watching the YouTube channel for a couple years now. I have something for your collective knowledge to shine forth on...
I couldn't find anything out about this coin that was brought in to me and it has haunted me ever since! Gold star to anyone that can give me the goods on this crazy mystery coin!

Looks like a Fantasy coin or a game piece (old) .

It sure has kept me up nights. Seems too intricately crafted to be just someone tinkering and that shiny-ness it the background looked almost like a thin gold foil. The way the owner had found it it could have been ran over a bunch but it still was really thick. like three pennies thick. CRAZY coin.

One other thing was it shares some elements with a sunken ship's coins (except they were all gold or silver and had different symbols around the box/cross) that I had seen and almost like some old Arab coins...

There are some specialists at coincommunity.com who may be able to help. I have seen very few coins the last 10 years go unidentified there. It happens, but they have a huge user base, a lot of token collectors and quite a few ancient coin specialists.

Please let us know if/when they can ID it.
