Re: $5 bill ser# spells a word
Never heard of spelling words with numbers on currency. Although a low serial number and a "COOL Fancy number, it may not be enough and in good enough shape .(wrinkles, fold etc.) Also, just because it's cool doesn't mean it's worth more than face value necessarily . never heard of word-spelling bills before, but it's still a nice low serial number bill.

Re: $5 bill ser# spells a word
The low serial number is collectable. And the novelty of it accidentally spelling a word is also interesting, but I do not believe it has a market value other than just being a novelty item.
If you were to eBay it, I would list it with just enough of a reserve price to cover your costs of selling (shipping, Paypal, etc.) and see what the market will pay. I would not count on quitting your day job though

Thanks for all the response, the word is sold , no ones got one or even seen one. Hello !!! Like all other great finds , I dont know how many times I've heard , only one has been found , do you have one in your pocket change? Forgive me , but I think , yes, I think this would be and is top dog in my collection because no one else has one. Thanks for sharing

Re: $5 bill ser# spells a word
I agree I will likely never see another, and its a fun item to see own.
Market value depends on how many people think an item is worth them spending their money on. There are MANY unique things in this world that people just do not value. For example there are a lot of unique things get listed on eBay as "RARE! L@@K! ONLY ONE OF A KIND!" that end up not selling or selling for very little.
I am NOT belittling your find by any means! As, I said, I think its a fun find. But unless a market develops for this type of thing, I do not know if anyone will pay a high premium for it. People spending money on collectables typically are looking to spend money on things they know will have value to others as well. That is not always the case, but it does create/drive the market.
