double struck or struck over a completely different coin?

Can anybody tell what coin is under this 1826 Batzen from Bern Switzerland?

That’s a tough one! From the last picture it looks like letters ANTO from the other side of the coin, so my bet would be a overstrike. coin struck and somehow did not exit the striking chamber and flipped, then was struck again. Certainly a very interesting case. Good to see you posting again, it’s been a while.

Are you referring to a "Flipover"?

This is an 1826-Swiss Cantons BERN Batzen KM# 194.2.
According to NGC, these are found overstruck on 1 Batzen, KM# 87.
That is a nice looking one, btw. 👍
