I found this lincoln cent today. Can anybody tell me anything about this error. It looks like it probably has a few problems. Thank you for any help and insight.

Hello. This is Definitely not an Error. Its Two coins "squeezed" together by a vise.https://www.error-ref.com/squeeze-job-o ... eeze%20job.

I can see that. Damm I was hoping it was something good, but when I saw the different dates I started having my suspicions that it may not be a mint error. Thank you for the information. I appreciate your time.

Wow. I didn't know that could be done, either. Every post, I get another educational seminar. !!

If you can think about it, someone has already done it in their garage.

Thanks for the link. I appreciate your help. And that's what I'm finding out. Problem is, I have this outlook about collecting coins that is a lil bit better than what im running into. Now wonder there is so much suspicion, from the guys that have been collecting for years, when a new guy posts something on some of the coin forums. I cant say I blame em either. Any way, thank you for your 20yrs of service and have a good night.

Here is some help to get you finding from being disappointed and to start having more fun:
Save Yourself time, effort, and disappointment...don’t learn the coin hobby backwards. 😊

Looking for random anomalies on coins and hoping they match up to something collectable will take you a lot more time, wasted effort, and disappointment repeatedly finding out you have nothing but post mint damage.

Spend some initial time at places like error-ref.com, doubleddie.com, varietyvista.com, conecaonline.org, coppercoins.com etc. to find what actual and collectable coin errors look like.

A good way to start is, for instance, separate a bunch of pennies by date. Go to varietyvista.com and, date by date, use the reference there to see what errors are known for that specific coin/mint mark. Look for those specific errors/varieties using the pictures provided. After doing this for awhile you will KNOW what an actual error looks like and not have to waste time on face value and damaged coins.😊
