2006 D Lincoln cent

My mom gave me a bag of change this morning and I was going threw it and this 2006 Lincoln cent was there it felt really light and when I seen the reverse and it looked different so I waight it and its 2.3g is this an error coin

Some sort of acid that ate away parts of the coin's surface?

No, it is damage and the weight is consistent for a coin in this condition and within mint specifications.
