1969 S DDO (FS101)?
I would like some thoughts on a coin I found while coin hunting. It is a 1969 - S and the date, Liberty, and In God We Trust seems to have some doubling. It also seems to have some doubling on the reverse side of the coin? Can I please get some opinions about tis coin?
Thank You in advance,

One look at a real doubled die 1969 S and you can't mistake it because there's no "almost" or "just about" for any doubled die.

Re: 1969 S DDO (FS101)?
I think what it amounts to is that you want your coin to be that doubled die so bad that anything different on that date and mint you want checked out. And this is concerning to me since this doubled die is one of the most obvious and easy to identify. There's just no "almosts" with this one.

I agree with Daniel. When you have one in hand, you will have absolutely no doubt. They are such an obvious DD.

Still not it. Circulation wear. If you had the 1969 S you would know it without a doubt. Save your self the time it takes to take the photos make the post and being told it is not a doubled Die. Do the research and you will learn what is and isn't a Doubled Die along with what can and can not happen at the mint..

@nazarkK...please post your own coins in your own threads that you have questions about. When your coin is hidden inside someone else's thread, it will be seen by fewer people and therefore you will get fewer responses.
BTW - what you have is machine doubling:

Re: 1969 S DDO (FS101)?
When I first started taking a closer look at coins a few months back …. I swear on everything I would stare at and study a coin until I FORCED myself to see something I never saw! It seemed with each coin I would dilute my own common sense with wishful thinking to the point of going near mad lol looked so hard one time Abe’s lips moved and I’m fairly certain greeted me with “hellllllo” it was AFTER I put the coins down and picked up valid and educational research literature & video that the light bulb came on for me. Take a look at the sheer astronomical number of coins minted for any given date and JUST based on mathematical deduction and good ole logic … the odds of having what your hoping you have are so devastatingly minuscule that you would be better off to convince yourself YOU DONT HAVE IT and be shocked beyond explanation if by some glimmer of miracle YOU DO. I lost my urge to find anything and when I did I was able to see the coin in a more realistic tangible way verses my dream of locating my leprechaun at the end of the rainbow

Well, finally someone got it......
This is 1 of the reasons why I believe the use of high power magnification devices by the undereducated is the worst thing that can happen.
I wish this could sink in for more people but........
This is why errors are called "RARE"........ and takes a bit of knowledge to understand them
