1958-D DDO Reverse

#1 Unread post by tjmusa27 »

I'm looking at this 1958-D and believe I am seeing doubling in the Logo in several letters on the reverse along with doubling of Right Side Wheat shaft. I've checked http://www.varietyvista.com/ Any thoughts or opinions?

I was just referring to the doubling I think I'm seeing on the reverse of the coin. Sorry didn't mean to use any improper term or definition.

I think he was thinking DDR, but came up with 'DDO Reverse'. I've never seen that wording before

I agree with mechanical doubling. I looked over all of the pics and cannot see anything other than that. I know it is frustrating to find something like this and think it is doubled but find out it isn't. Trust me, I am dealing with that every day haha. Been going through thousands of coins the last few months and have only found 9 double die coins.
