1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.
2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.
3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. PM’s are for issues, technical and personal, but not for coin questions (refer to number 5 on this list). Comment on todays era of doubled dies.
I have been posting alot of minor ddrs and a few ddos. With the single squeeze method being introduced 25 yrs ago or so it seems that the major doubled dies are no longer possible. Leaving just the minor ones out there to find with the occasional more major class 9's. My question is about value. While I have alot of fun finding these...will they ever have value like the old days?

Re: Comment on todays era of doubled dies.
When I was growing up in the 1970's my image of a doubled Die was just like the 1955 ddo and now as thing get more detailed they seem to get too small or tiny for my eyes . I personally would rather collect ones like the 1969S DDO but that's my opinion.

No, they will not attain the same value as the 1972 and back obvious doubled dies.

At a coin show if you buy a 1955 DDO, you have no problem knowing its a DDO just by looking at it. Any of what I personally call the micro DDOs are undetectable to the naked eye. I think the hobby will always favor the easy to see error coins vs. those needing a microscope to be detected. While I have alot of fun finding these...will they ever have value like the old days?
