2021 RPM on washington CTD quarter
I found 4 of these in a roll of new quarters. Please review and see if this is really a RPM.

You can not have a RPM after 1989.

I agree with DS. They did not hand punch mint marks into coins after this date.
Before that date they hand punched the mint mark and sometimes hit the punch twice - making what we call a re-punched mint mark.
So what DO you have?

the only thing is the P on the coins. I don't see any other doubling. Wouldn't more than one small piece of the coin be doubled?

Once again. After 1989 they placed the mint mark on the Master Die (No more hand punching of the Mint Mark). This all means that you can not have a re-punched mint mark. What you have is Machine Doubling.

Re: 2021 RPM on washington CTD quarter
Please re-read what the graphics I posted say about this very thing. I know it goes against what we initially think, but we are working with things we have never personally experienced (20 tons of pressure) in a very tiny area. Laws of physics are not broken, but under these conditions the laws sometimes do things that make us scratch our heads until we dig in deep and figure them out.kdaniel1001 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 7:00 pm the only thing is the P on the coins. You can also do some research at error-ref.com and then expand by using a search engine and finding "machine doubling." I spent many hours long ago doing this very thing and the graphics I shared are the result.
