Good morning good day,
I hope this note finds everyone doing well. This morning I found a 1977 D Lincoln Memorial Cent and it appears to definitely have a repunched mint mark. Perhaps a d / d? Anyway, I am not finding this in any of my online references or my one hard copy reference book.
Might any of you dedicated and wonderful people have seen this before or have any references for me?
Thank you kindly in advance for your time,
Robin

1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.
2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.

4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. It may be helpful to review how and why RPMs occur

It looks like a spot on this mark is raised - if it's the case (can you check and write about it here? it would be helpful!) this may be a die chip.

Typically when you do not find one referenced, then it is not an RPM, but something else has happened to it. Your picture is too fuzzy to see for sure, but it looks like yours has simply taken a hit and the metal of the D moved.
