1965 Doubled Ear Washington Quarter?

#1 Unread post by markedmoneytech »

Hello everyone!

I've compared this 1965 quarter with other doubled die listings, but all of them reference doubling on the lettering. I don't think this is machine doubling, but need more opinions. Thanks for your time and assistance. All the best!

If you have a coin you think is s doubled die or RPM, but cannot find it listed online (et.), then the answer is almost certainly going to be something else like machines doubling, die deterioration doubling, or other non-collectable events that happened to the coin.

Especially since the internet, there have been untold thousands (tens/hundreds of thousands?) of people searching coins for doubled dies etc., and reporting them online. I can only remember distinctly seeing one discovery coin (again not new year issue) in the 10 years I have daily visited coin forums online.
