Hello!
Thank you for providing this community. I’ve been watching Daniel’s YouTube videos and thought I’d check it out.
I began collecting colonial coins in the 90’s, when I discovered through genealogical research that my roots in America go back to 1635…a total surprise! At the time, my husband was selling a relative’s coin collection for him on eBay, and I got interested looking through his books. I put together a small collection of nice colonial coppers…and then, we moved. And the collection disappeared. We looked everywhere…I was heartbroken, and angry with myself for having been so careless. That was twenty years ago.
Well, last week, my husband pulled out the old box of coins leftover from those eBay sales back in the 90s. There was a crumpled up envelope tucked into the box…we couldn’t believe it. It was my colonial coin collection! Not where it was supposed to be, but not gone forever…
So here I am. I think I’ll start collecting again. I’ll have some questions for sure.
Thanks again for letting me join!

1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.
2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.
3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.

6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. "Welcome and glad you found your coins!"
Thanks! I felt like such a terrible steward all these years...I'm so relieved that they were not lost in discarded packing material or in the back seat of a NYC cab...
