Would this coin be worth grading or should I sell it?

I get this Authenticated since there are a lot of fakes out there, ANACS might help you out.

I totally disagree with this being the first step. We are here to help through education. Anyone can throw money at a grading company...the companies LOVE this mindset...and its totally unnecessary until the following is done:

Do the logical checks yourself:
1. See if its magnetic - if so its a fake.
2. Find the weight of this specific coin online (not hard with a search engine), then weigh it.
3. Find pictures of this specific coin online that has been slabbed, zoom in on them and compare details to your coin such as the exact shape of the fonts (look at the shapes of the loops inside letters, the serifs etc.) and also the position of details in comparison to the lettering. Any differences will mean a fake coin.
3. If in doubt still, take it to a local coin shop and have them test it. A pawn shop can also see if its a fake by checking the metal.

If all of the above are not enough to tall its a fake, then the next step is to send it to ANACs.

Another thing to understand is that this coin likely will not be valued much above melt b/c of its condition.

Is the ultimate goal here to sell the coin?

I forgot the other steps before ANACS :P

EDIT: I looked up the PCGS price guide, even if it's in very circulated condition, it's worth over $1000 in Gold value.
