1881-S PCI MS66 + PL Morgan worth re-slabbing?

#1 Unread post by geezer »

I have two of these coins, same year, same grade from PCI. I got them very affordably risking the grade is close to what it says. The second one not pictured has even better luster in the obverse fields, with reverse flawless.

I know PCI is not a reputable company, or top 5, but from what I found researching they are considered when in business as a responsible grader.

Any thoughts on sending these out to either PCGS or NGC? Should I leave them in slab or remove and bring to coin shop?

Thanks

No one and I mean no one can give you this answer. You must take the risk because no one can predict what PCGS will give these coins. There's no short cut to the grading game. I play it all the time and it's trial and error and mostly error for 90% of the people who submit.
