1915-s penny error on reverse???

#1 Unread post by mrasmussen »

Hello. I have a 1915-s wheat penny that has the “One Cent” missing from the reverse. Is this an lamination error, or not an error, due to circulation damage? Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you!

Sheesh, someone, or something did a number to this coin. Post mint altered, shame for a early teens with a mint mark.

Well, although there’s some damage done to the reverse of the coin, it’s still a 15-S. In this condition I‘d say it’s worth somewhere around $10.

Ouch! Way too much for so much damage.

I can see this in a bargain bin for .25

The 1915 S is a better date cent and list for $21 in G4 problem free, so this coin is worth a few dollars as a hole filler.

I'd say 5-7 dollars in this grade, as that is what some lightly corroded ones have sold for on eBay
