I am not trying to say that I know whether this coin is counterfeit or legitimate, but the person who listed this is saying that the picture you linked is a "sample picture of the placement of the VDB" and is not the coin in the listing

Looking at the pictures again, it’s a possibility. since the supposed S-V.D.B. Looks much more worn down than the other coin which the seller posted as an example of the letters “V.D.B.”
If so, it’s one heck of a way to scare away potential bidders.....

I was actually trying to find another post to share. Someone wanted $500 for their 09-S VDB, but couldn't be bothered to get closer than 6 feet away from the coin when photographing it? Tiny pics for a key date? Naturally, I'm gonna think that there's something going on there that isn't on the level, and scroll on by.
