Hi fellas, I ran across this the other night while I was going through a bunch of 90% quarters. Obviously it's a 1964 D and I was looking through my loop. I noticed a couple of things that were curious put it under my microscope and noticed that it was pretty obvious something was going on there. It looks like an FS801. Just curious on any opinions. Didn't want to get my hopes up if it was machine. Doubling notice there is a dye crack on the forehead and I'm seeing doubling in the quarter dollar in the mint. Mark is obviously doubled or an RPM. Please share your thoughts. Appreciate it

Sorry, but I agree. The obvious doubling of the FS-801 is not on your coin. See the pics at varietyvista.com.

It is still too hard to tell form the picture, but there are non-collectable forms of doubling - not real errors such as die deterioration doubling and machine (strike) doubling. These can be researched at error-ref.com
