Greetings, community.
today, while searching the web for some coin images for a school assignment, I stumbled upon this link to alibaba with these coins for sale..... intresting.
the coins seems to have the word "copy" photoshopped on them, too.

As bad as Etsy. Please stay away from these sales.

These coins are counterfeit and not worth what they're selling them for, I do not recommend them.

Also please understand that anyone used to seeing actual coins of these denominations can tell these are fakes. Wrong fonts are used, wrong details etc.

I'm thinking that the seller was ethical by doing that, lets them know that this is not a real coin.

I know, the seller in this case did indicate this coin as counterfeit.
just funny to me that out of all things, they decided to make a 1960-S cent. Reminds me of some daniel carr's work, impossible date/mintmark combinations.

Re: rather intresting example of a 1960-S LMC
I thought of Daniel Carr myself...except his work is generally a lot higher quality with the effigies being real looking as well as the fonts etc.
Back when ebay was allowing the Chinese fakes to be sold, the pictures all had "COPY" or "REPLICA" on them. But I am not sure any of the ones sold had the word on them. I was buying a bunch of these fakes to study (and I shared the results online in another forum I was on back then), and asked the seller (Big Tree) if I could get mine without "COPY" on them to see if they would do this. They said it was not problem, and all my fakes came unmarked. Others I talked to who were involved with studying fake coins on that forum said their's came that way as well.
So it may just be the seller is putting the word there in the pictures for the sake of not ruffling any official feathers?
