4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.

Thanks for posting, many contradictions to match the real one....
You can start with the "Bar Code" on the slab and work your way down..
I do, like the looks of the fake-one, though... lol

So many out there now, it's gotten worse over the years but they're been around since the early 90's and why PCGS and NGC continued to change their labels.

Got a chinese customer coming in to the LCS I volunteer at with some of these things, that they bought in China. Proceeds to curse us out in chinese after we told him we we wouldn’t be interested in them because they are fake.

Re: Fake PCGS holder and coin
Sounds to me, with an attitude like that, that he knew he was trying to sell fake coins.

Re: Fake PCGS holder and coin
I have a friend who bought the 1955 double die Lincoln cent when I looked at it in person it was definitely brown and just did not seem right I notice a lot of Dullness on the high points of a coin definitely was not an MS 65 but I did not know until I just looked at these post that there are fake PCGS holders
Again I am no expert but I’m very thankful I read these post

Re: Fake PCGS holder and coin
I agree - my what a horrible fake!
I remember in 2011 when I got serious again about coins I got an email offering fake PCGS slabs. I had ordered some fake coins (1.69 each - for study and I posted results online back then) from the Chinese fake-maker Big Tree on eBay. The fake slab seller wanted 200.00 each for the slabs and said they were a great opportunity to make a lot of money by selling them as real.
I emailed back asking why I would want to do a dirty thing like trying to take advantage of another person? For some reason I never got a reply.

Re: Fake PCGS holder and coin
I wonder why? Maybe because they've realized that someone (you) is catching wind of their scheme!?

Re: Fake PCGS holder and coin
I cannot find this one online either. So it must be a fake.

Re: Fake PCGS holder and coin
Yep that 1955 is fake. when you look up the PCGS number it does come back as a MS65RD, but it also says that it is in a PCGS Gold shield holder. Which that one is not.

Re: Fake PCGS holder and coin
More fakes in fake PCGS holders. This guy is selling several different slabbed fakes
.https://www.ebay.com/itm/225179826380?h ... 7675.l2557
Not even close to the real one with same number. No doubt the "bids" are fake as well.
