Type 2 Hud straight clip indian cent wondering if there is a way to find the date on this coin
Type 2 Hud straight clip Indian cent wondering if there is a way to find the date on this coin I have narrowed it down to 3 possible dates 1886 1896 or 1906 trying to figure out if there are die markers that I could find but looking through all the snow varieties it's very hard to figure out because most are on the date or around the date just looking for another eye to see if anyone can see anything that I'm missing

This is not a clipped planchet, damaged coin.
huge shame for a higher grade IHC.
as for the date.... All I can say is that it was 1886-newer coin, note the last feather pointing to CA of AMERICA.

This is not a coin minted on a clipped planchet.
Please research the term "Blakesly".

Return if possible.
Common grading company shortcomings & resulting co$tly mi$take$ to collectors (using Kennedy No FG halves):

......FYI, clips will not exhibit a 'rounded' edge to them

Even if it was a real clip it would be a mint error and not a Snow variety, but as others have stated, this coin is damaged and cut. Not worth any effort other than keeping as an example of a fake clip.

If it's not a die clip, then someone cut it with the Dikes!

Yes i understand a clip is not a snow variety i think i was misunderstood looking for the snow variety on the coin was to identify the date but since its just a damaged coin there is no reason to do the work on it mistakes made with my rusty eyes
