1942 penny with a flaw under the word Liberty
I have a 1942 penny that has a flaw on the front only, left side of the penny, seems to be under the word Liberty. Has anyone else seen one like this?

Actually there is an indention , as if something crimped the penny or pinched it while it was being made, but the indention is only on the front side of the penny. The back is normal

I thought I had a special 1942 penny but no one wants to give me any info on my coin except saying it’s just a delaminating issue, which is not the case Wish someone would take a closer look

It is a lamination issue see link. Not sure I would trust a PMR about coins, they tend to just melt them.

Re: 1942 penny with a flaw under the word Liberty
I think we have a crossed wire here so let's try to get it unwrapped.
Please understand we can only go by what you ask. You asked:
To which you got several of our people who are very experienced in the coin hobby (for an example, look at Paul's credentials in his avatar - he is a coin error professional) telling you what he knows - this is a delamination error.I have a 1942 penny that has a flaw on the front only, left side of the penny, seems to be under the word Liberty. Has anyone else seen one like this?
So the replies you got telling you this is a delamination error actually, at least in our eyes, answers your question of, "Has anyone else seen one like this?"
Then you said you took it to a PMR. As you know, a PMR deals with precious metals, but coins and coin errors are not an area of expertise automatically a part of what makes a PMR person good at their trade. It is akin to saying b/c a farmer can grow North American vegetables that you can go to him for expert advice on growing bananas. Some vegetable farmers might know something about it, but others would not have a clue (rightly so). So taking a PMR person's advice over that of specialist's on a coin forum is likely not the best route to finding the correct answer. I also suspect you came here to a coin forum instead of going to a PMR at first b/c you realize this concept.
Your coin is an error type that many of us have seen many, many times. For example, I can tell you if you want to find more of them, they are prevalent on War Nickels (and if you want I can expound upon why they are more common on war nickels than other coin types). Many of us here know these facts from hands on experience of being around coins all of our lives - some of us for 50+ years.
The "dent" you describe is where some of the original material peeled off (delaminated).
Please do look up "delamination error" at error-ref.com. And, BTW - that site is the de facto reference for error coins in the coin hobby. You will find the knowledge there to very definitely contradict what the PMR man told you, but again, this is (obviously to someone living in the coin hobby seriously) not his specialty area.
Is there something else you would like to know about your coin that has not been answered? Please be specific so we can be.

As stated by me, with decades of experience in this business, founder of this forum, website and YT channel coinhelpu and owner of a brick and mortar coin shop as well as making a living in this business, your coin has a delamination.
