#1 Unread post by Worldwide C »

A few days ago the Royal Mint released for presale the 2023 King Charles III Silver and Gold Britannias.

With everything going on in the world the Royal did mention in the article they had over 20% increase in sales in 2022 compared to 2021 and for international sales there was over 20% increase of customers from Germany and the US last year.

Wow..those are beautiful! I didn't like His Majesty's effigy wishing they had included a crown, but seeing the coins like this - both are stunning. Thanks for sharing!

Only for territories the monarch must wear a crown although I’m not sure if Charles would keep traditions because the Isle of Man portrait has him crown less and the last few portraits of the late Queen depicted on banknotes and coins have her without a crown such as the one on post 2003 Canadian coins.

Honesty is the best policy.

I like the heptagonal shape of the last one. I like Tut image. But the HM the King looks a bit off on that one.

No insult meant, but the effigy makes me think of (sorry!) biden.
