PM’s are for issues, technical and personal, but not for coin questions (refer to number 5 on this list). Weird nickel

Pretty strange looking nickel. It doesn’t look like someone filed it or ground it down but it’s bizarre how it’s worn down. No lip at all around the outside.
I just thought I’d share some pics since it unusual I guess.

That looks to have been tumbled with ceramic media....

This coin has been intentionally altered, post mint.… Most likely to be used as a button…JMO

I agree...PMD. Nothing in the minting process could make this.
