1996 Jackson $20 (Almost Perfectly New)

#1 Unread post by Hermes »

Hello Everyone,
I received this $20 withdrawing money from the bank yesterday. I didn't notice it until I got home. Lately I've gotten into the habit of checking my money before spending it. While checking the money I noticed it and thought, This is a big error. Theres a lot of thing missing. Then I looked at the year and remembered that in the Mid 90s we used to call these type of currency Monopoly Money, or Big faces. It only has a little fold, but the condition for being a 1996 is awesome.
Any information about this currency and worth is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Hermes

Hello! Unfortunately, this note is not perfect (Crease on one side and "wavy" throughout) . $20 tops value. I personally, in this economy would just spend it. Sorry. Just my opinion.

When I first saw it, I was like, this don't look like a regular $20 Bill. Then when I saw the year, I had to look it up. Been seeing new bills so long that looking at the older ones made me look twice. Lol!!

It was even plainer years before 1996 this was when they put the fat heads on bills. Before that the bills were really plain for many years as the most artistic looking bills were from the 1800s maybe very early 1900s before the FED took over and made our paper the worthless stamps they are today. Now they're all so colorful and weird looking to me and its all to obfuscate counterfeiters from making phony bills while the FED just prints them out like crazy.
