1983 Lincolon Cent accuretly weighed ar 2.769 grams

I know it needs to be 3.1 for the prize but why 2.769 only half way there.
I know my scale is accurate as I weigh a lot of coins and they are always where they are supposed to be. For this I took 5 other 1983 cents and this one and weighed them all 4 times each; the others always 2.5 give or take a hundredth and this one and it always weighed between 2.769 and 2.772.
As you can see in the pictures it is circulated but no damage just discoloration and no additional metal on it.

So my guess is it is just an over sized planchet. How typical is this and what is the correct name for this?

Thanks Earle42 for the chart, great reference material.
Cool to have
The tolerances 2.4 to 2.6 that is a pretty tight spread
Chart shows top weight at 2.6 mine is .169 above that at 2.769 which is almost the entire spread.
I am happy with my find, thanks again for the feed back and the chart

Looking further at the chart the low tolerance for the copper cent is 2.980 so I am .211 away from that. So my coin is 42 thousandths of a gram away from being directly between the high zink number and the low copper number, cool.
