$5 bill I got back in change

#1 Unread post by Twof »

I got this $5 bill back in my change and first noticed the top right corner on the obverse and then turned it over and was with? Looking for opinions, thanks.

It appears trimmed. Compare it to a normal $5 note or any denomination.

Yeah I did that and everything seems to line up but the cutting of it, but look at the top right corner on the obverse, that has nothing to do with the cutting, its something totally different

If the Note is normal size, then it's a "cutting error". https://www.pmgnotes.com/news/article/1 ... ing-error/
The line in the corner is known as a "gutterfold" . https://www.pmgnotes.com/news/article/1 ... old-error/.
The condition of this note is well circulated, and condition is everything. I would check sites like Ebay for past sales of similar items sold. ;)
I would concentrate on the cutting error more than the "gutterfold error" which is more common. :D
