Possible misaligned dies on 1834 large cent
Trying to determine if this 1834 large cent was struck with misaligned dies, or off center or any other type of mint error as opposed to post mint damage. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Possible misaligned dies on 1834 large cent
Boy...that's a tough call for me. It does look like an of center, but there is also enough damage to it (like the big blob on the REV and the "canyon" on the OBV side), that I am wondering if ages ago someone didn't take this into the garage and play with it. I think done just right (well...wrongly) something like this might be able to be reproduced by damaging a coin.
I may be mistaken, but I don't think this would bring a premium if it is an error, its just too far gone.

I believe that this coin exhibits too much rub to be considered more than a "Filler".
