I know this is probably nothing.
But, I did my research at https://www.error-ref.com/, I came up with *nothing*.

Is this just within normal manufacturing tolerances?

Thanks, Bob

Looks like a "Misaligned Die Error" to me. Misaligned dies, usually abbreviated MAD , are somewhat common, but many beginners mistake these error coins for the less common true off center coin.
Misaligned die errors occur when the anvil (usually the reverse) die stays in its proper orientation but the upper hammer die becomes misaligned. The result is that the obverse appears to be off center and it is not until you flip the coin over and see that the reverse is still centered that it was struck by a misaligned die.

It’s a MAD. The error it self was very minor, and have rim damage on the reverse of the coin.

Misaligned Die, & it's a 1985-P Dime, not a 1965.

Here are outer rim images. I wasn't sure how the lighting and angle would work out for what you need, so I erred on the side of too many!

Aha! That got me reading in more detail at:
https://www.error-ref.com/?s=Collar+Man ... ide+Collar
and
https://www.error-ref.com/?s=collar

I think that might be it.
I've put it in my collection.
If there's any reason you'd like to see it in hand, let me know and I'll mail it to you along with a paid return envelope.

And many THANKS for the advice!

I see nothing more than a worn rim and a rim ding here and a slight misaligned die which is within mint specs.

It's important to remember that were trying to use an online image for a diagnosis...

Can I see in image of the outer rim, taken just like the last image, of this area here?:

Certainly. I wasn't not quite sure of what you wanted. If these don't work, let me know, and I'll take more.
If you could be as precise as possible in what you need, that could help.
I have professional experience in manufacturing technical writing, so feel free to get technical with angles, rotations, tilts, etc...
Thanks, Bob

After reviewing these final images here, and I just wanted to be thorough, I believe all you have is a slightly misaligned die,.... With excessive wear on the outer rim of the coin
