Turnaround times

#1 Unread post by john.wachter »

Sounds like turnaround times at NGC and PCGS are getting worse, not better. I have some coins I want to submit, but would like to enjoy them in my lifetime. Any recent experience with standard service ??

Not with NGC or PCGS. Last month with ANACS. Ten day turnaround. I mailed it on 10 Dec, it was in my mailbox on 20 Dec.

Usually it is business days and never heard of ANACS being that fast. If so then I might send a few lower value coins to them.

That turnaround time was extremely rare/unusual for them. I got lucky. It's usually 4 to 6 weeks. Still much faster then NGC and PCGS.

Hey J, I just sent off some goodies, one to NGC, (a vam of course) and two to ANACS (VAMS 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣) they both arrived on the 11th, this past Tuesday, to their respective destinations, I will let you know when they put up the grades, and then when arrive here at the Ranch and Estate. I do know that if you send 10 monster boxes at one time like Daniel, even if you get the (yeah they are all 70 grading process) it will take longer 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I don't send silver eagles and I can't afford 10 monster boxes, one or two at a time is pushing it for me. I would rather buy the type coins anyway. lol

Of course, when you want to find something, you can't but I did see something on NGC's site that they were just now opening November's packages.

As of today, NGC is opening packages received December 7th, 2021. That should give you some idea. My personal opinion is that the Morgan and Peace Dollars reissue of 2021 is massively bogging them all down. A lot of collectors looking for that "MS70 First Strike" NGC special label.

That's funny, but true. It might be just my perception, but it seems NGC has a lot of "special labels". PCGS recently had a "vintage PCGS green label", or something like that. But I haven't personally seen so many special labels like NGC has.

Hey J, NGC has a service where you can make up your own special label, I'm thinking about one with my Mule Logo

How about a slap from each PCGS and NGC. PCSG slabs the Slabbed NGC MS-70 into a golden holder, reading PCGS MS-70 of a special NGC MS-70 gold slab. Next would be an NGC slabbed MS-70 of a PCGS MS-70 special gold slab. Why not just get a PCSG slab of an NGC MS-70 of a PCGS MS-70 of an NGC MS-70. I guess we could just go on further and further into this quagmire.

I saw a PCGS holder with a cricket in it. I think it was on YouTube.

What about being buried in a PCGS or NGC, yep, he was a good one so we give him an MS69. He did make some mistakes.

Ok, just got confirmation from NGC that they are starting the "process" for my CC Top 100 VAM, not bad. They are a bit behind ANACS, but not horrible
