4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.

5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.

6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.

7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. PM’s are for issues, technical and personal, but not for coin questions (refer to number 5 on this list). can anyone id this coin----maybe lucius verus 161-169 ad----but bust facing left makes it hard---- thanks----

I would say this is a fake. Fakes are very common for the Roman Imperial coins. If it were genuine, you have it identified correctly. I am far from being an expert so am interested in what others have to say.

Looks legit to me.

I am not an ancients expert, but have spent a lot of time on another forum where there are ancient coin experts and I have enjoyed reading to learn for 11 years now. I have typically been able to spot a fake when posted over there for some time now.
I also have gone through the process of restoring a pile of crusty old ancients to be able to see what was under the crud (months long process with a lot of inspection at various stages).
A lot of fakes are tourist coins sold when visiting sites (I have some). This does not have the smoother surfaces and more rounded features (on the edges) of fakes I am used to seeing.
