It’s a 1926 Twenty Dollar U.S. Gold Piece. Auction ends Friday current bid is $1600.
Item Description:
1926 Twenty- dollar gold piece- extra fine+ lightly cleaned.
If I win probably pay tax and that’s it. There’s no shipping but seller is on 20-30 mins away.
I know the auction site I use them all the time for work, I’m just shocked there’s a coin in it.
Would it be a good investment to go after ? Or. Should I pass ?
Should I buy this coin ?

Re: Should I buy this coin ?
As stated before, you need to know more about coin before buying coins at auction. You need to see the coins you're buying in person and learn as much as you can about the coin and potential counterfeits.

Re: Should I buy this coin ?
I agree with what Daniel has said. One point to make also is that buying any coin, the seller should be OK with a full refund if you go and have it tested to see if it is a fake. Otherwise run.

Re: Should I buy this coin ?
I would get full refund if it’s a fake or no gold. But I’m thinking I’ll pass anyways. Margin to make any cash is very slim if I get bided up.
Wining bid has to pay 12.5% buyers fee plus DC taxes. Giving the fact it’s clean I probably only get melt minus 10% or so.
