1920-D Walking Liberty Half - newest acquisition

#1 Unread post by Earle42 »

Well, I was browsing ebay last week and was looking, for fun, at Walkers. Then I saw one I needed to fill a hole. If you look down through the older dates of Walkers on ebay, you will find most for sale have worn dates and the devices blending into the rims.

I want my Walkers to have a full date and rims. I just don;t like the looks of almost every set of these you find where the first page is full of flat and worn disks resembling the Walking Liberty design.

I do not know how it caught my eye, but there was a 1920-D where the date was full (tops of all numbers not worn to be a part of the line above them), the rims were nice, and unlike what I deemed to be its counterparts in slabs, this one was less than 110.00-120.00+. $76.00 to be exact.

This is one case in which I am glad for slabbed coins. They make it so people will definitely overlook a raw one and pay more for a coin in worse condition.

I meant to comment earlier...

I am shocked!

This post got an actual 5 hairy banana dancer rating!

I do not believe I have ever been honored with such a rating before. :o

Hey Paul, I wonder if the grading companies would adopt your newly devised system?
