1973 S 40% Silver Proof Brown IKE QDR,TDR, DDO

#1 Unread post by gsp193 »

Hello everyone, this is my first post and am glad to be here. I recently won a few brown ikes at my local online auction for a great price. This one has at least one device on the reverse that is QDR, three that are TDR and almost every other device on the reverse appears to me to be DDO. The obverse has some notching on the lower left corners of a few of the devices in the motto and a few other devices. I cannot find any 1973 silver Ikes attributed like this and would appreciate any comments or advice. Thanks in advance!

I can see the notches you are asking about on the REV and marked a couple of your pics:

Have you checked the Ike Group website?

I know we have an Ike specialist and Ike Group Memeber here - hoping he will chime in.

Sorry, but too small to see this area in the pic provided of that letter A.

Hoping the Ike Group will give you your answer. Then share if they do please :D

Once you've established the coin is a doubled die, it's best to send to an expert for further attribution efforts.
