(VINTAGE COIN HOLDER) Campbells 2 New soups - Old-Fashioned TOMATO RICE, CREAM OF VEGETABLE

#1 Unread post by NoahLamb »

I inherited my grandpa’s small collection when he passed in 2013 and i had collected as a kid. I have reached out to campbells soups history department and they had no knowledge of this coin holder/mailer whatever it may be. But it’s from the time of the release of their tomato rice and cream of vegetable soups. So early 50’s if i remember correctly. I can’t find anything online about it, not even a picture. If anyone knows anything about it or has one and is also confused about it i would appreciate any help. Thank you. And i hope the pictures show up, this is my first post.

Banks used to give out folders for people to use towards a Christmas savings account. But I have not seen a company refund one like this before.

This is really cool and different. Maybe reach out to a antique dealer in your area? Sometimes they have resources in print not available on the web. Regardless, I definitely would keep this and find a way to display it. Makes a great conversation piece.

Thank you guys for the help and knowledge. I’ll have to keep looking into it. I’ve been looking into it for the last years and haven’t found anything but this is all more than i’ve found. It’s just weird how not even campbells history department knows anything about it…

Just a suggestion - it could be it the past that Campbell's had regional offices that would "do their own thing" at times? If so, the head company may not have records of everything.
